The important parts of chapter 4 of Steal Like An Artist are that using hands and your senses are better to come up with ideas rather than trying to come up with ideas on a computer.

Engaging more of your senses might produce better work because your using more senses when working with papers, pencils, pens, markers, and other physical objects. Also with computers you don't get to feel what materials you are using.

Computers might not be such a good tool for generating ideas because they are more for editing and finishing up ideas into a finished product or project.
